LIV Challenge Design for the Swiss Group

After several weeks of keeping the design hidden I can finally reveal my design for the LIV Watch design challenge from Swiss Group. I squeezed into the winning short-list with sixth place. The design brief was tightly defined and I was really happy with the chunky, sporty and expensive look I produced.

The features of the watch are:
  • Valjoux 7750 Chronograph
  • Water resistant to 100m
  • Swiss made
  • Hard coated matt black torx bolt fitments
Bezel
Hard ceramic coated stainless steel with a highly polished gloss finish.

Case
CNC machined PVD coated stainless steel with a matt finish.

Crown & Pushers
CNC machined from PVD coated stainless steel with orange highlights.

Hands
Two tone orange and matt black second and hours. Bright white second and sub dial hands.

Numbers
These are simply CNC machined straight out of the case, the cuts into the metal are very deep producing a subtle but solid look.

Second Dials
These are an “outrageous” array of orange lines that meet from the second hand to the orange bezel edge.

Sub Dials
The sub dial indexes are angled at thirty degrees which gives it a really dynamic look. The backing of the sub dials is a radial cut metal plate which gives a cool 3D look.

Strap
Dark black hermes leather outer featuring a pressed pattern with a softer dark grey leather inner (replaceable).

A straightforward man don't have any space within his adjoining like inside of relationship, in clean mind, and the thinking types but know-how give space to a man’s intellect.
